Successful fishing in breathtaking nature

The immediate surroundings of Blattnicksele Camping offer many varied fishing opportunities.

The larger rivers Vindelälven, Juktån, Laisälven and Gargån flow directly through the municipality of Sorsele, but also numerous large lakes such as Storjuktan, Överstjuktan and Abmoträsk enrich the surroundings and make the angler’s heart beat faster. 

The lakes Storjuktan, Storvindeln, Sandsjön and Smakaträsk offer excellent trolling with pleasing results.

The large bodies of water are complemented by numerous smaller lakes, which not only invite you to try your luck at fishing, but also to explore the breathtaking natural surroundings.  

The Vindelälven, which flows right past the campsite, offers excellent opportunities to catch trout, grayling, perch, whitefish and pike. The lakes Överstjuktan and Storjuktan are home to trout, char and Canadian lake trout weighing up to 15 kg. 

If you fish later in the summer, you might even be lucky enough to catch a salmon. 

You can either buy a fishing licence directly at the campsite or online at www.ifiske.se. We will be happy to give you tips and helpful information to ensure you have an enjoyable fishing experience. 

Local guides are available to explore the best spots with you on request.

Ice fishing

The great winter experience for fishing enthusiasts.

Ice fishing in the beautiful nature of Lapland is an absolute MUST for every fishing fan. From Blattnicksele, this is possible almost everywhere.

You can catch perch, fur and pike with this traditional fishing technique right on your doorstep.

Perch fishing in northern Sweden

Perch can be caught in northern Sweden all year round. 

If you want to catch lots of perch, autumn (early September to late October) is the right time.

If you’re after big specimens, you should visit us between May and mid-June, as the chances of catching particularly large fish are best just before they spawn.  

But summer also offers many opportunities for perch fishing and is promising. With different techniques and in different waters, the fishing experience is not only varied, but also very promising.  

If you visit Lapland in winter, you should definitely try ice fishing, a particularly beautiful experience that you should definitely try out. And here, too, the perch are sure to find the worm! 

Pike fishing in northern Sweden

Lapland offers various opportunities for pike fishing: from smaller, shallow and murky lakes to large, deep and very clear lakes. The fishing methods vary depending on the type of lake and range from spinning to fishing with jerkbaits and trolling. 

Pike fishing in open waters in early spring is usually difficult, but also very rewarding.

A few weeks after the spawning season in May, the pike begin to feed aggressively and are easy to catch until the water reaches summer temperatures in June.
